Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival Tel Aviv Airport - Jerusalem

Meet and assist upon exiting to the arrivals lounge at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv by English speaking guide.  Drive to Jerusalem.         Arrival Hotel – Check in - Dinner and overnight

Day 02 - Jerusalem – Bethlehem - Jerusalem

Breakfast Drive to Bethlehem, the birthplace of the Lord Jesus, Visit to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Nativity, followed by a visit to the one of the most ancient Greek Orthodox Monasteries in our region, the 4th century Mar Sava Monastery built on the banks of the Kidron Valley See Shepherds Fields and visit the Mar Elias Greek Orthodox Monastery commemorating Prophet Elijah. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.

Day 03 - Jerusalem

Breakfast Begin tour of Jerusalem at the Mt of Olives with the spectacular, panoramic view over the Old City and Temple Mount.  Follow the Footsteps of Jesus with visits to Dominus Flevit where He wept over the city.  Visit the Greek Orthodox Church marking the tomb of Mary and the Garden of Gethsemane the site of the arrest of Jesus and taking Him to the house of the High priest Caiaphas (Matt. 26.34, Mark 14.30 and Luke 22.54-70) Continue to Mount Zion to see the Tomb of King David and the nearby Room of the Last Supper (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38). Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.  

Day 04 - Jerusalem

Breakfast Enter the Old City of Jerusalem and enjoy visits to the Cardo, ancient Byzantine Street, and the Western Wall. The Via Dolorosa where Jesus carried his Cross all the way to Golgotha. The Antonia fortress and the Lithostrothos (John 19.13) and finally the Coptic Orthodox Church in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matt. 27.33-57, 28.10). In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the 6th century Orthodox Monastery at the Valley of the Cross where it is said that wood was cut from the olive tree, used for Jesus cross.

Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.  

Day 05- Jerusalem – Jericho - Jerusalem

Breakfast.Visit the view point at Wadi Kelt to see the 4th century Greek Monastery of St George.  Drive on to the ancient city of Jericho (cable car included) to visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Karantal built on top of the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by the Devil for 40 days.  See the ancient “Tel” and view the spring of Elisha. Continue on to the Orthodox Monasteries built on the bank of the Jordan River east of Jericho commemorating the baptismal of Jesus by John the Baptist. 

Drive along the Dead Sea for a visit to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.   Enjoy the opportunity to float on the salty waters of the Dead Sea.

Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.  

Day 06- Jerusalem – Tel Aviv – Jaffa – Jerusalem

Breakfast. Drive to the cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv enjoy some time in this fascinating city. Continue to Jaffa to visit the site of St. Peter’s vision taking place on the roof of Simon the Tanner (Acts 10:5) Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 07 - Jerusalem – Nazareth – Tiberias

Breakfast. Drive to the Holy city of Nazareth.  Visit to the Greek Orthodox Church in Nazareth known as Mary’s Well here Mother Mary received the good news from the Angel Gabriel.Drive on to Mt Tabor, site of the transfiguration of our Lord, visit the Orthodox Monastery located on the top of the Mountain. 

Enjoy the ride to the top of the mountain by taxi (as the road is so narrow) and the beautiful view from the top.  Continue via Cana, the site of the first miracle of the Lord Jesus, to Tiberias Arrival hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. 

Day 08: Tiberias

Breakfast.Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.  Visit the Orthodox Church in Capernaum where most of the ministries of Jesus took place (Matt.4 13, 13.54, 17.54, Luke 7, Mark 1.2, and John 4.46-54).  

Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus taught His disciples (Matt. 5,6,7,8) the Sermon on the Mount and Tabgha where Jesus fed multitude with just two fish and five loaves (Matt..13, Mark .33-45 and John 21). 

Continue to Yardenit the Baptism site on the Jordan River.    Dinner and overnight Tiberias. 

Day 09 - Tiberias - Mount Carmel – Jerusalem

Breakfast.Drive to Mount Carmel to see where Elijah the prophet performed the miracle of the fire against the false prophets of Baal (1st Kings 18).  Visit Stella Maris Monastery center of the Carmelites in the Holy Land. 

Continue to Caesarea Maritime (Acts 9.30 Acts 10 24-48). Visit the Roman, Byzantine and Crusader ruins including the Theatre and the Aqueduct.  Arrival hotel in Jerusalem. Check in. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 10 - Jerusalem - Ein Kerem - Jerusalem

Breakfast. Drive to Ein Kerem, the birth place of St. John the Baptist.  See the Church of St. John the Baptist and walk around this picturesque village.Continue to the Inn Of The Good Samaritan and the village of Bethany with the Church commemorating the resurrection of Lazarus. 

Free afternoon.

Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.

Day 11- Jerusalem - Airport

Breakfast Check out and departure with luggage and English speaking escortto Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, for departure flight
